Editorial Policy

PetCare Cost Guide exists to answer one question honestly: what will this actually cost? That only works if readers can trust the numbers, so we hold every article to the standards below.

1. Sourcing and fact-checking

Cost figures are drawn from published rate surveys, insurer disclosures, industry associations, and veterinary trade publications wherever possible. Where a figure is a range or an estimate, we say so. We do not present a single vet's price list as a national average.

2. Not veterinary or financial advice

Nothing on this site is a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, or a guarantee of any insurance payout. Cost and coverage information is general and can vary by location, provider and your pet's individual case. Always confirm current pricing and coverage directly with your vet or insurer before deciding.

3. Corrections

When we find an error, or a reader points one out, we correct it and note the update date on the article. Corrections can be requested at 88smartbro88@gmail.com.

4. Use of AI

Parts of our production process may use AI tools for drafting or research assistance. Every article is reviewed for accuracy before publication, and responsibility for what we publish rests with our editorial team, not the tool.

5. Advertising disclosure

This site carries advertising, including Google AdSense. Advertising does not influence which topics we cover or what we write, and is always visually distinguishable from editorial content.

6. Independence

We are not owned by, and do not accept payment from, any pet insurer, veterinary chain, or pet product brand in exchange for favorable coverage.
